MySpace is my new guilty pleasure. I've fallen off on so many levels of my personal life. My mom was here this weekend and she just wouldn't stop going on about how I was letting myself go. I agree though. My personal time is nil and what I do manage to steal away I spend on myspace. Sad. I have become one of those people. No life except that which exists in cyberspace. It is my quest to reconnect to that part of myself I once fell in love with.
I am in a rut. At work. With my boyfriend. At home. I've even stopped cooking. All I do is eat out and whine about how fat I'm getting. I'm not supposed to be using profanity. I gave it up for Lent. Not that I'm Catholic but I figure if Jesus can sacrifice his life, the least I can do is not swear for 40 days. Speaking of Jesus. I'm glad I know him. Aren't you? Not in a bible thumping sort of way but it's the ultimate hook up. Don't let people tell you that you're going to hell for _________ (whatever you're doing). If that was the case, we'd all be going. There is hope. God loves you just the way you are. Broken. Desperate. Addicted. Dishonest. He loves you anyway. Imagine that! Just know that whatever you are going through God loves you and he'll bring you through. I guess Jesus is really my new guilty pleasure! Only there's nothing to feel guilty about except that I haven't shared him with anybody else.

Flash!
You hear people say it could all be over or they'll be right back in one. But how long IS a flash? My coworker's husband died in a flash yesterday. He suffered a stroke while driving home from work and subsequently had a fatal car accident.
Time is a tricky thing. You can never have enough of it. And the things you want seem to take too much. But treasure it anyway... Because life is a flash, an instantaneous burst of light that dims as we grow older until its completely dark.

3rd Times the Charm
So I thought I would pattern the titles, at first it was cute but now it seems kinda lame. So tomorrow's his birthday and I don't have a gift or anything but then again I shouldn't need one. But you know how they are.
Yes, I'm talking about the male of the species. Double standards are male inventions. God-forbid you forget to stroke their egos every chance you get. But don't expect them to appreciate you unless its to tell you how good you are in bed or how much they love your cooking. It's never "You're such a good friend" or "I really love you for putting up with me." I'd settle for "I like being with you" in a setting other than the bedroom.
Really, guys, if you want to keep a good woman let her know you appreciate her. And don't keep telling yourselves that things will be better when:______________. (You fill in the blank.) ---Mine said that things would improve when he moved into his own place because seeing me everyday made him forget to keep his promises... Who knew?--- Especially if the idea of marrying her has seriously crossed you mind. No one wants to marry someone who doesn't appreciate them or consider their feelings now.
And ladies if that's how you feel you need to think about it because why would you marry someone expecting things to change afterwards. It's foolish. All they will say is "you knew that when you married me." Would you marry a gay man knowing he was gay and expect him to change after you were married? NO! At least I hope not. So women are so desperate... but not you guys.

I forgot my password already. Silly, rabbit. Anyway, I'm going out of town this weekend for a wedding anniversary for poeple I don't even know. The things we do for love. (I don't really like this font.) Anyway, I'm at work because this is probably my last stab at internet access before leaving for the country of Arkansas this weekend.
